WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: CURVE

My entry for the Weekly Photo Challenge: Curve

For this Weekly Photo Challenge- Curve, I decided to select a couple pictures from our Kerala Tour. Kerala, with its beautiful and mesmerizing landscape, lush tea gardens, backwaters, rightly called as Gods own country is a state in India that one must definitely plan to visit if not already visited. We had a very good trip and thoroughly enjoyed the different places that we visited in the State.

Someone correctly said that-A smile is the most beautiful curve, yeah, the visit brought on the widest happy smile on the whole family’s face.

Some pictures depicting the theme Curve:

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: PURE

My entry for the Weekly Photo Challenge : Pure

Last Friday, for the weekend, we visited our friends who live in a township at quite a distance from Abu Dhabi. They have a beautiful garden with lovely multi colored Bougainvilleas, lots of Rose plants , Mogra plants, Ficus, and quite a number of small trees including Papaya and Drumsticks to name a few and a whole lot of potted plants too. The backyard is used for growing vegetables, and yes, I did get to bring a couple home grown vegetables on my return from their.

While inspecting the Papaya trees that were laden with the fruit, I was fascinated by the small fruits seen off of the Papaya flowers. The new young papaya was the purest thing for me on that plant: untouched, delicate with unchanged color, and so very different from the other slightly grown papayas.

Just to let you all know, the papayas from these trees are too delicious and quite sweet too.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: NUMBERS

This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is Numbers.

For this week’s entry I selected pictures of an Indian Railways train that I had traveled while returning from Goa to Pune.

The Engine of a train that was at halt on the opposite platform was my fascination with the numbers on it. The weather was beautiful, it had just stopped raining and the wet platform, the orange of the engine, blue of the coach and the greenery around was too beautiful to miss. I am glad I clicked that picture.

I am posting a couple other pictures of that train travel and particularly love the picture that shows the way the train curves along ahead in the journey.

I am happy to include these rainy day train travel pictures that depict the random numbers, and hoping you too find them interesting :).

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: JUBILANT

For the weekly photo challenge Jubilant, this is my entry.

I have been fortunate to have a bird make nest in one of the plant pots that she fancied, and the same pot was nest for another pair of bird. So two pairs of Laughing Doves  laid eggs in the pot in a span of months and I was able to witness the daily growth and growing up phase of the birdies right from the egg stage to its hatching till the  Doves flew away when they could have the strength to fly. It sure was an experience to see the efforts and struggles of the young birdies and jubilation to finally see their flight when they flew away leaving an empty nest.

One birdie came out from that egg above, grew up and flew away from the nest.

In couple days another pair of Laughing Dove chose to lay the eggs and they hatched and the young tiny birdies came, seen below, where clicked when the mother Dove was away fetching food for them.

With more growth and strength they hop to near-by places near the nest.

And finally in couple days I see them fly away confidently leaving the nest for good.

I was jubilant to see the young birds take their final flight and leave the nest that was their safe home for so many days.

Hope you all will like the pics :),  though I am late in posting this entry.
